Time for Shana to be in the spotlight. I went out and bought a background just for her too^^ And also the votes are in for the poll and I will announce what I’ll be ordering (ordered :p) Click more for the full review and plenty-o-pictures.
First let me get the review out the way and then I’ll go on to the talky stuff^^ Anyways for those of you who don’t know Shana is my first Figma. I was having trouble which should be my first since theirs a lot of great figures but I fell for her semi-translucent hair and that lovely Katana of hers ^^
I went out to the store and bought her a beige/vanilla looking background and thought it looked good with her ribbon but to my disappointment the background was a little too light-_- Should’ve took her along to compare. My lighting in the pictures also killed the color so it looks like white instead:/ The pictures look kinda dark compared to most of my other ones so bare with me.
Anyways Shana is from the Anime Shakugan no Shana. In this figma version she’s dressed in clothes from Shakugan no Shana II. I still haven’t watched ether one but heard their awesome series so those who haven’t seen them should give it a whirl…or else ^^
Shana’s arsenals are a Katana called Nietono no Shana, an extra face, 6 pairs of hands, a meronpan, Figma stand, Figma goodie bag, and a special piece for the stand.
Her hair goes from an opaque red to a translucent orange which I thought was awesome and really stimulated that flaming hair Shana. It also makes this Figma a one of a kind ^^
A gimmick this Figma has is movable hair. It really makes Shana that more intense and dynamic having her hair fanned out like it’s blowing in the wind. They hid it very well too and I wish they would incorporate this feature in all figmas.
She also comes with this special piece that plugs into the hole on her back. It’s so the hair doesn’t get in the way of the stand and supposed to be posed sideways. The fact that they included it is a plus in my book. The hole in her back is very well hidden too. Forgot to take a picture of it but it’s behind the collar flap on her back ^^
She comes with two faces. A smiling face and an angry face that is looking to left. I’m kinda dissapointed that they only gave her two expressions because a laughing one or annoyed one or some other would have created much more possibilities.
Her front locks/sideburns are made of a soft plastic and can be moved around as pleased. Heard some people had problems on their Konata’s because it was solid and got in the way all the time. Glad they included yet another useful feature for this figma ^^
Pretty good details. I like how the leggings sorta squeeze her leg and the ribbon and pendant are cute ^^
Meronpan anybody?
Her katana is really long and is almost as tall as her. It also has good attention to detail with no over painting or sculpt problems. The blade part is sorta of flexible too. Some people said that you have to be careful of it cause it might break easily but I don’t think you will have a problem as long as you don’t purposely try to bend it. Though the katana itself is a pain to put in her hands-_-
Some say they have a rough time trying to stand her because she’s back heavy due to her hair but with the right amount of effort it all works out
She was trained under Chuck Norris >:D
That about wraps it up! Some pictures were darker than I wanted them to be but oh well, next thing to upgrade is lighting ^^ Sorry if it dragged on way too long, first figma review and a lot of things to cover ^^
All in all this Figma Shana is an amazing figure with no flaws in my eyes and I recommend it to anybody that hasn’t acquired her yet or has just started Figma collecting. She’s the same price as other figmas and is worth the 2500 yen! If you don’t believe me than check out these fellow bloggers who have their opinions on it aswell: *If you want/don’t want your review added then hit me up ;D*
Now time for updates. First and biggest update is that Nendoroid Sakura won the poll vote and I bought her already ^^ The thing is I’m buying her from ebay, I know, I know, why the hell would I do that, but there’s reasons.
First, is that she isn’t costing me $5 or $15 bucks like most fakes, I’m spending close to $40 for her which is about the right price. Second, I talked with the guy who was selling her and it seemed legit, he sent pictures of the box and everything. I compared them with hobby search and they look identical. He’s also a figure collector but selling due to no money and lack of space. Third and biggest is that he says he bought her from Japan on a trip and if I’m not satisfied than I can return it and get a full refund
Ebay can serve as a powerful tool when knowing what to look out for. She’s on her way as of today, hopefully everything goes smoothly and she’s real^^
Second update, I redid my whole “About” page and is up to date on the latest of what Blueplains is and went through. It’s future is still a secret
The final update is that I’m starting a Wallpaper page of my figures/models and other stuff. It’s nicknamed “Wallies” so if you want some Blueplains official wallpapers than go give it a whirl, still got to add a bunch though^^
That’s about it, thanks for enduring it this far ^^ I’ll try to keep future post to a capped length because this one was way too long, even for me:P See yah at the next.

Don’t be sad with only 2 faces! Drossel has 1 only XD

Id say that Sakuras legitimate since the guy offers to take her back.I never ordered from Ebay since I feel that its too much of a hassle to check and double check. Its easier to pop the figure into HLJs cart and done.
As for the colors that dont look that vibrant with your lighting setup: Go for outdoor! Colours looks awesome outdoors and Figmas fit nicely into your pocket

I have yet to see a bootleg Nendoroid Sakura and considering this guy has taken his time to send u pictures (and u compared them as well) and all the other info. it’s legit to me.
Don’t forget to keep ur word in getting nendo Shana. I will haunt u if u don’t.

Nice pics. Will add link your review to mine~
Despite the packaging saying Shakugan no Shana II, Shana pretty wears the same thing (i.e. the same uniform). I admit that I did have some hard times trying to get her stand the first time, but yea it is possible to get her stand properly. 2 faces’s ok; in fact a lot of figmas have only 2 faces.
Congrats on your first figma get. They are pretty playable, and if you just play safe while handling the joints carefully then you won’t go wrong with it. ^^
